What’s on Offer?
In the morning, the children will be offered a breakfast consisting of a choice of cereals, toast and jam, a piece of fruit and milk or water. They will also be given the opportunity to play and participate in games.
In the afternoons, our first session until 4.15pm each day, is a planned activity session. The weekly timetable for the Spring Term 2026 is below;
| Monday – Arts and Crafts | An encouraging environment where the children can paint, draw, collage and junk models exploring different materials, fabrics and paints to create individual art work as well as collaborative projects we can share with the rest of the school. |
| Tuesday – Gardening | In our gardening club we will be supporting the children to explore nature, get outdoors and learn where food and plants come from. We will be following the seasons and discussing what we can plant at certain times of the year. There will also be the opportunity for the children to bring home their plants for you to continue growing at home. |
| Wednesday – Construction | In this club we design, build and create using a range of construction materials (Junk modelling, Lego, magnetic blocks) building models using recycled materials. The children will plan their designs, experiment and problem solve individually and as part of a team. |
| Thursday – Homework | We will provide a calm and supportive space where the children can complete their homework after the school day – We know home life can be busy therefore we wanted to create a club where the children can access help needed along with supporting others in the club to complete their homework/reading. |
| Friday – Cookery | Giving the children the opportunity to learn basic cooking and food preparation skills in a fun, safe and hands on way. Preparing simple and healthy recipes/snacks. Helping the children to follow instructions, explore different foods, flavours and cultures. We will be preparing things such as Fruit skewers, pancakes and wraps in our first term. |
Children staying for the longer afternoon session until 6pm will be given a light hot meal, where all children will sit and eat together. Children will then be offered some free play time where they can take part in a range of activities, including:
- Energetic games and outdoor play
- Role play and den building
- A relaxing time to read a book with another child
- Table top games
