Year 1 – Squirrel Class
Welcome to our Year 1 class page. This year it will be led by Mrs Rose and Mrs Hopkins, with the support of Mrs Wakeling, the class teaching assistant.
Year 1 is the first year of a new curriculum for your child and it is full of exciting things! In Year 1 we continue to focus on the children’s individual needs while introducing a new approach to learning, which is play and formal based. In Year 1, we ensure that children are given a wide breadth of experiences by inviting in visitors for talks, taking children on school trips and taking part in workshops.
