Mrs Gemma New

I became a parent governor in December 2017 because I am passionate about education and believe that the early years are crucial to a child’s later academic achievements as well as the development of their social and broader life skills.

I have over 14 years HR experience, with the last 7 years as a Diversity, Inclusion and Employee Wellbeing specialist, bringing a fresh perspective to the parent governor role. I wanted to become a governor to give something back to the school and the community and I am really enjoying this rewarding role. I am married to Fraser, and we have two children with our eldest attending St Mary’s.
